Thoughts On “George Gilder: California’s Destructive Green Jobs Lobby”
No regulations of the financial markets and business like we had during the 1920s and during the GW Bush years is what CAUSES the chaos in the first place that provides a path to power for the far left wing and far right wing communists and Nazis that came to power in the 1920s and 1930s.
When capitalism fails badly as it surely CAN, the extremists come out of the woodwork. This is WHY we need reasonable government policies to tame the excesses and destruction that laissez faire leadership faire Read More...
My View On “Stephens: Lesson From Europe (Take 2)”
Mr. Stephens,
Our LA riot in 1992 was worse than the UK riot.
You fail to mention the US has the highest murder and violent crime rate than Europe.
The US has 2 million people in prison which is a higher percentage prisoners per 1000 citizens than Europe.
Prior to these recent riots in the UK, the worst rioting in the UK was in 1990 when over 200,000 people rioted over Thatcher's Poll Tax.
Thatcher's own Conservative Tory party forced her to resign over the rioting and the disastrous Poll Tax.

My Take On “Peggy Noonan: ‘They Won’t Care Till They’re Affected’”
Heh, Peggy, I hope you're reading these comments. I find it amusing how both the left and the right commentariat are attacking you or talking about whose fault it is or about how dumb the people in the article are, rather than spending one second discussing the actual point.
As a democratic country, it isn't Obama's fault, or Bush's fault, or the Democrats' fault, or the Republicans' fault. It's our fault. It's always been our fault, and the sooner every single one of us steps up and takes responsibility Read More...
Some Thoughts On “Goldman’s Tourre Meets”
I don't know if 'smtaking a break in a relationshiprts' is the key issue here. Certainly, Goldman Sachs is loaded with smart, capable and talented people. But there are also some pretty bright people in government charged with regulating the Financial Industry.
The government is loaded with former Goldman Sachs Executives who in essence are responsible for regulating the Financial Industry. The problem with this is not so much that a cozy relationship is established between regulator and firm (everyone Read More...
Some Thoughts On “The Long Search for Full”
Here's finding the right career the point I'm trying to get across for those of you who are long term unemployed (2 plus years or more). Waiting around longer in your current predicament isn't going to make things better. It will make things worse. If economic and career opportunities have disappeared in your area of residence - then either stay there and let you career die a slow but gradual death, or you move on. Its very Darwinian. When wild animals can no longer find food in a place they migrate Read More...
Criticism On “The Day Mohamed Abu Muailek Laid Down His Gun”
Mr. Gaber,
What is you point, other than to say that one can always find an extremist in every camp? Are you forgetting the many, many smart goals examples of Israeli Jews who have provided medical care and other kindnessesfor Muslims injured by bombing attacks or other violence perpetrated by extremists from Gaza? How about the political divide between Israelis who want peace at nearly any cost vs. those who support stronger and more direct military confrontation with those who would destroy them? Read More...
A Commentary On “Embracing Ezra, My Autistic Son”
Your article got this Latin teacher thinking: I have two high functioning autistic students who always cogat test mediocre to poor but maybe the problem is how they are tested. In my gut, I always knew that and would evaluate them in different ways but they still did poorly. Still I knew that they knew more than grades indicated and I would feel bad inflating their grades beyond the test indications, as if I were cheating. Now I appreciate that I am not cheating, just maybe we still do not have good Read More...
Thoughts On “What’s on Jim Fallon’s Mind? A Family Secret That Has Been Murder to Figure Out”
Fascinating science! This may somewhat explain why one person can be horribly mistreated as a child and yet manage to become a well adjusted adult who does not exhibit any criminal traits or react with violence towards others even when confronted in a negative manner? Then you have another person who is also likewise horribly mistreated as a child and becomes an adult with a history of violence and engages in criminal acts up to and including homicide. Who knows, maybe this research will lead to Read More...
Views On “An Interracial Fix for Black Marriage”
Whether educated and professional black women should date outside their race? Hmm, definitely a stimulating, yet relaxing chewing gum topic for the inquiring WSJ reader's mind, as opposed to falling in love again stock portfolios, oncoming double-dip recession, and a creeping global economy meltdown.
In the end, it all comes down to the words of the eminent British socio-cultural philosopher Howard Jones:
What is love, anyway/
Does anybody love anybody any way

Criticism On “Charmaine Yoest and Denise Burke: Planned Parenthood Takes on the States”
To John Klaus: I agree that abortion should not be compared with heroin addiction relapse. If I were in charge, I would expand free needle exchanges and low-cost drug treatment to help drug addicts quit their habit and slow the spread of HIV and other diseases. But, as you say, drug addiction is not like abortion. If you cut drug treatment programs, addicts will just get worse and be more likely to commit crimes to support their habits. If you take away abortion, you will lower the rate of abortion Read More...
